We have an exciting opportunity to become a key part of the ongoing organising team for MOVE Summit, Scotland’s largest animation gathering.
MOVE Summit is Scotland’s leading animation industry event that gathers together professionals from across Scotland, the UK, and the world in celebration of all things that move.
This three-day event includes talks, panel discussions, workshops, portfolio reviews, networking, and evening socials.
What you’ll do:
To help organise and deliver the best Move Summit yet, we are currently recruiting for an Event Manager to join the team asap on an ongoing contract, initially part-time and switching to full-time from November, 2024.
As the Event Manager, you will work closely with the planning committee to support the overall organisation and administration of the event.
Responsibilities will include, amongst other things:
– Liaising with speakers
– Organising travel and accommodation
– Assisting with marketing and social media
– Coordinating ticketing
– Overseeing venue logistics and catering hire
You will collaborate with the planning committee to organise the event, utilising your past experience to ensure that it runs smoothly and remains within budget.
What we’re looking for:
– Relevant experience in event coordination
– Experience with event planning and organisation
– Effective communication with ability to build rapport
– Excellent administrative skills with strong written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to work to tight deadlines
– Ability to work within a budget
– Experience with sponsor-relations would be beneficial
