MOVE Summit is recruiting for an Operations Manager for our 2027 event.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a vital part of the MOVE Summit team.
MOVE Summit brings together industry professionals, students and graduates from across Scotland, the UK, and the world in celebration of all things that move.
This four-day event includes talks, panel discussions, workshops, an expo and recruitment fair, portfolio reviews, 1:1 meetings, networking, screenings and evening socials.
Operations Manager
Operations Manager.
The Operations Manager is a key role on the MOVE Summit team. If you are highly organised, personable, and passionate about event delivery and management, this role is for you!
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Leading on the organisation and delivery of the event
- Liaising with all suppliers, sponsors and speakers
- Working with the Event Director to plan all aspects of the event delivery
- Creating the event production schedule
- Ensuring that all speakers travel and accommodation needs are met by the travel team
- Responsibility for ensuring the event team track and record all incurred costs
Essential Requirements:
- Previous events management and delivery experience
- Proven project management skills
- Confident with all Microsoft Office packages
- Experience using Airtable a plus
- Some experience in Adobe In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator a plus (not essential)

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Eager to contribute new ideas
- An interest in the creative industries
Contract Details:
Start date: 14th of September 2026 (negotiable)
End date: 12th of March 2027
Type: Freelance Contract – Full Time
Salary: £41,000 pa (pro-rata)
