Look Development: From Illustration to Screen
Lisa-Mae Evans, a Visual Effects graduate from the University of Hertfordshire, is a Junior Look Development Artist at Blue Zoo Animation in London.
During her time at University, Lisa-Mae spent a summer interning at Peerless VFX and, the following year, completed the DNEG Greenlight Internship Program as a 3D/CFX Artist.
Shortly after graduating, Lisa-Mae joined the Look Development Team at Blue Zoo, researching and developing surfacing techniques for use across both commercials and productions. Along with 5 other artists in the team, Lisa-Mae’s focus is primarily on translating key visual styles from 2D into 3D through the development of shader libraries, streamlining existing surfacing workflows and a fair amount of experimentation to discover new ones!
Alongside her work, Lisa-Mae is proudly a mentor for Access:VFX and regularly takes part in outreach with the UH Animation Course.
