Peter Dodd

Peter Dodd began his animation career in Paris in 1996, working in character design and storyboarding before moving to Berlin as an animator. Over the years, he has lived and worked in the Rhône-Alpes, Edinburgh, and London, contributing to Oscar-nominated films Famous Fred and The Illusionist. He was animation director on Lupus Films’ features Ethel & Ernest and Kensuke’s Kingdom.

His work spans feature films, commercials, game intros, and shorts, including Gorillaz, the long-running TSB ads, The Snowman & The Snowdog, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Bono’s Peter & the Wolf, Disney’s Godmothered, a Simpsons couch gag, Robbie Williams’ Felix ad, three episodes of Love, Death & Robots, and the BBC Olympics 24 title sequence.

Peter has spoken at Annecy, ZCool Beijing, TEDx, CTN Expo, and various universities, festivals and workshops. Now based in Edinburgh, he is currently working on his 153rd animation job while developing a new feature co-produced by Lupus Films, Animation Garden, and Something Big.
