Dan Richards

Dan discovered his love for animation at twelve, creating his first stop-motion film. He trained at the Bristol School of Animation before joining Aardman Animations, where he worked on Wallace and Gromit The Curse of the Were Rabbit. Those formative years shaped his creative approach, combining strong character performance with a deep respect for the handmade process.

Dan is the founder of A+C Studios, a stop-motion studio based in Margate by the seaside, surrounded by a thriving and supportive creative community. Working with international clients and brands around the world, the studio operates a fully in house model across all aspects of stop-motion, while collaborating with a curated roster of talented stop motion directors. Dan’s role sits at the heart of the creative vision, championing ideas, developing techniques, and creating space for ambitious, beautifully crafted animation to happen.
