Eleanor Long

Eleanor is co-founder and producer at Tapocketa Ltd, a multi-award winning micro-indie media production studio based in Hertford, UK. Tapocketa creates and publishes interactive animated storybooks, posters and artworks that come to life. The studio style combines paper puppetry and motion capture to create distinct and unique in-house IP.

Current projects include using Innovate UK grant funding for interactive animated experience ‘Galdo’s Gift: The Boovie® alongside commercial projects for private clients and public bodies. Tapocketa are also involved in R&D (funded by the Creative UK and the BFI New Ideas Fund) to explore a fusion of printed media, augmented reality and animation. Eleanor is a Creative Enterprise Female Founder alumni and member of AWUK. Co-founders Eleanor Long and Trevor Young also run Mini-Tonic which specialises in animating third party artwork.

As an award-winning Royal College of Art alumni with a succession of prestigious architectural projects such as The Royal Geographic Society’s glass frieze and a light and line wall sculpture for Crown Estates Regent Street, Eleanor brings a wealth of expertise to bear on any project. Her artistic background and model-making skills (prop-maker for feature films such as The Borrowers and TV shows including The Graham Norton Show, and Harry Hill) underpins a highly practical understanding in any creative project.
