Micky MacPherson is an experienced and award-winning producer with over 25 years experience in the industry, working across many genres. With a passion for developing and producing exciting and innovative content, as co-founder of Plum Films Micky is instrumental in shaping their portfolio and expertise across broadcast commissions and independent features.

Renowned for their enchanting children’s show ‘Teacup Travels’, Plum Films developed and produced 45 x 15-minute episodes of original, innovative content for BBC children’s channel, CBeebies. The show was nominated for BAFTA, Prix Jeunesse, Broadcast and Celtic Media awards.

Micky co-created the popular CBeebies show ‘Roots & Fruits’, featuring 47 x 5-minute episodes packed with fun facts, lovable characters and unforgettable performances. Micky is the executive producer and director across 2 series of this preschool, musical variety show.
Roots & Fruits is a Broadcast Awards Finalist (2024) and Prix Jeunesse International Finalist (2024).

Career highlights are those spent working closely with directors, writers and cast, seeking partnerships and commissions that are entertaining, engaging and memorable, with storytelling and performance at the heart.
