Torsten Schrank

Torsten will be leading a talk on Story-driven shape language in Character Design on Friday 23rd. In this talk, Torsten will discuss his design work on the award-winning feature film “Klaus”. He gives insights into theĀ  influence of storytelling on the shape language of the character designs.


Torsten studied Animation at the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg in Germany.

For over 20 years he has been working as a Character Designer and Character Art Director for feature film, TV-Series and games.

Torsten`s character design work for the 2D feature film “Klaus” was honoured by an Annie Award and a Concept Design Award.
