As the Animation Production Liaison Executive for ScreenSkills – the industry-led skills body for the screen industries – film, television (including children’s, unscripted and high-end), VFX, animation and games. ScreenSkills identifies and addresses skills gaps and supports training and development for all levels through trainee placements, short courses, bursaries and mentoring.
Kieran is also the producer for the British Animation Awards – the leading organisation dedicated to recognising and rewarding the UK animation industry. For fifteen years Kieran worked at Aardman Animations where he established and ran the Events and Exhibitions Department. During this time he produced exhibitions including a year-long special at the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo. He also served on several international film festival and award juries including BAFTA. He is a co-founder of the Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival in Bristol and served as a Board Director for twelve years and was the Animation Programmer from 2010 to 2021. He also helps assess projects for the BFI Short Form Animation Fund.
